Rikon London is delighted to offer this 1968 Ford Mustang GT500 Eleanor Recreation, presented in Pepper Grey over Black Leather.
Registered new on the 1st of January 1968, this Mustang was subsequently converted into Eleanor in the US. The car was imported into the UK on the 1st of September 2017 and has been in the custody of one previous owner since. The miles have been kept wonderfully low through being in covered storage throughout its time in the UK.
This Mustang benefits from being listed on the Eleanor World Registry, number 327 to be exact- which is shown on the passenger side of the dashboard, engine bay surrounds; as well as plaques on the entry guard sills. To gain the privilege of being in the club each car has to fit the following criteria:
-Eleanor Styled Upper and Lower Nose.
-Eleanor Styled Side rocker Panels.
-Shelby Styled Lower Side Scoops.
-Shelby Styled Trunk Lid.
-Rear Fender Flares.
-Shelby Style Tail Lights.
Other parts that pay homage to the Gone in Sixty Seconds get-away of choice is the flip up filler cap, ‘go baby go’ gear shifter, side exit exhaust and 5 lug wheels with 3 ear spinners. A modern infotainment system has been fitted to provide the driver with easy to use media on the go.
Whilst being in the UK, maintenance and upkeep has predominately been taken care of by C and N Customs and Longbridge Autos of Derby. Notably in 2017 the fuel line was removed to make way for a new line to feed the fuel away from the exhaust. Both NS and OS upper and lower ball joints were changed as well as the NS and OS front shock absorbers and strut rod bushes. A weld bracket was implemented for the handbrake system and all engine fluids were checked and changed if necessary.
Physical at our London Showroom and supplied with its V5, key set and original owners pack, this Eleanor is on the button and ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian.
